Karl Lagerfeld
is said as the man for many reasons and seasons. This is further
evidenced by the fact that the 70 year old fashion designer held two,
parties during the Paris Fashion Week
festivities after having also presented his new collections from the
Karl Lagerfeld Fall/Winter 2009 Ready-to-Wear Collection on March 10, 2009.
The first
party was to celebrate the launch of Another Fashion Book and was
hosted by the German-born designer at the Chanel boutique on rue
Cambon in Paris' first arrondissement. Lagerfeld also opened up the
Coco Chanel's famous private apartment for the star-studded affair.
Co-hosting the
event was publisher Jefferson Hack, and also known for being Kate
Moss' ex and the father of her daughter. Also in attendance were Kate
Moss herself, along with her current boyfriend, Jamie Hince, Milla
Jovovich, Marc Ronson, Lily Allen, Pam Hogg, Freida Pinto, Julia
Restoin-Roitfeld, photographer Ellen von Unwerth, and lots of model-types.
The second of
Lagerfeld's parties took place the following night. The famous
fashion designer hosted this party for 'Fendi',
the other fashion house for which he designs. Music for the event
was performed by Beth Ditto and her band- The Gossip. Ditto was
requested by Karl Lagerfeld himself to play at the Fendi
party at the VIP Club on rue de Rivoli in Paris.

The was
wearing an outfit designed by Karl Lagerfeld though it was mostly off
of her by the end of the evening - which consisted of black sequined
bra, a black feathery tunic, black mini-skirt,
and black platform shoes and
all of which matched her heavy eyeliner and jet black hair. After
performing with her band, Beth Ditto proceeded to stage dive, wearing
little else than her underwear and fishnet stockings. Talk about a party!
Also in
attendance were Ellen von Unwerth, Marc Ronson, Julia Restoin
Roitfeld, Alexa Chung, co-host Silvia Fendi, and, of course, Kate
Moss and her boyfriend.
Elle UK noted
that while Kate Moss could have easily gone rocker chic for the Fendi
party, - especially given the vibe - "in appropriate Parisian
style she eschewed her trade mark skinny jeans
for a shimmering, matching coat from Fendi
and silver full length gown,
and also made sure boyfriend Jamie Hince perfectly coordinated with
her look in head-to -toe grey." |
